Interesting Nail Polish Colors to Wear this Summer

A nice pedicure is a must have in the hot days of summer months. In order to make a good impression you have to look good from head to … nail toes. To make your life easier, I have come up with a Nail Polish Colors Guide for the 2010 Summer which I’m pretty sure will help you to compare and review the nail polish you need.

From all the colors in my list, the one that really impressed me is No. 91 from Orlane. This superb brown nail polish with golden iridescent is a hit for this summer and can be worn with gladiator sandals to get the best from a boho look.
The Paradise Green Vernis Anti Choc Shock Resistant Nail Enamel from Bourjois is a soft color that can be worn with colorful maxi dresses or with all-white outfit.

Pink-fans have two stylish options: 04 Blush from Stila and Ballet Brilliant Glamour Nail Varnish from Lancaster. Both of them give a glossy touch and dry pretty fast. So, if you are in a rush, but you still want to have nice toe nails, you can use one of them and no one will notice if you were a little bit clumsy when you applied it.

You haven’t had fun to your full potential this summer if you haven’t lived ‘the red week’. The red week is the week when you feel sexy and you tend to wear this color very often. One idea is to paint your toe nails in a beautiful red color, like for example, No. 226 Clarins long lasting nail polish. Unleash yourself for at least one week and live your life to the maximum. Another option is Nina Ricci’s Mauve Taffetas Brillant Lacque. It is neither mauve nor red, but more like burgundy.

My last two options are for those of you who like wearing bold colors. I consider Fantasy Beige from Christian Dior and No. 84 Couleur ET Brillance from Guerlain more for evening events, but you can wear them to office too if you’ll match them with high heels peep toes.

Best Lip Glosses for This Summer

My interest for lip glosses began when I was in the 9th grade and I have put my eyes on one of my colleagues. Back then, I spent my time looking in the mirror and trying every possible make-up combination you have imagined. Since then, I love to research and compare lip glosses I find on the market.

My plan for today is to present you five awesome lip glosses you should check on your testing list.

Sui Lip Gloss package reminds me of something related to burlesque epoque, but the colors are pretty soft, perfect to wear to work or to school. This Anna Sui lip gloss has a creamy coverage and can be used on harsh weather because it moisturizes dry lips.

Next on my list is Wanted Stellars Gloss from Helena Rubinstein. This shiny gloss comes in a range of sexy colors, but my favorite is Rose Capella. Because it reflects light, the gloss also pumps a little bit the lips so it’s perfect for women who want to have fuller lips.

Stila Lip Glaze Doubles is my pick for intense use because it also comes cheap. I don’t like the package it should have been more stylish, but it seems that Stila prefers simplicity when it comes to this aspect.

One suprising lip gloss comes in a shape of a …pencil. Crayon Gloss Pencil from T LeClerc was present from my sis. I loved this gloss pencil the first time that I applied on my lips. It gives a soft sensation when I first use it. I recommend Love Pink color, but you may prefer others.

The last selection for today is a lovely heart-shaped lip gloss and lipstick from Yves Saint Laurent. The package from Love Collection Lip Make-up Palette is absolutely lovely, but the gloss itself is worthy to be mentioned. It gives a discreet shine to your lips by mixing a creamy lipstick and a glittery gloss. Perfect for hiding it in small clutches.

Top 5 Best Mascaras

Nothing compares with an excellent mascara. Personally, I prefer it to a foundation or even to lipstick, but you might have another opinion about that.
As a make-up fan I have tried different mascaras and colors and so far, this is my top 5 of best mascaras I have tested on.
I love the package of Anna Sui Super Mascara Volume Up, but this is not the only thing I like about it. Super Mascara Volume Up has a long lasting power and separates lashes pretty good, including the little ones. I recommend it wearing it when you plan to go to the beach.
My second pick for this top is Multi Effect Mascara from Stila. I like this make-up brand and my also using a stick foundation, but I’ll talk about it in another post. This mascara is very good if you like really long lashes or you plan a glamorous look to a special occasion. It also curls lashes with an intense color.
The top is continued by Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara by Elizabeth Arden. I adore the Midnight color which helps me get a vibrant look. This mascara also revitalizes lashes and that’s a big plus. My lashes can forget about smudging, flaking or even clumping. Yuppie!
One of the top mascaras I have ever tried is Eye Fly Mascara from the famous French brand Givenchy. The comb is a little bit difficult to use but I get awesome results from the first application. The comb is similar to one of the Nina Ricci’s mascara and I’m not of fan of them. This mascara is perfect for daily wear and it has a gorgeous finish.
And my final suggestion for this top is Fatale Mascara from my favorite mascara brand – Lancôme. It has a patented 3D comb which is very easy to use and boosts instantly the volume of my lashes. You will no longer be upset with plumped lashes or uneven mascara application. This is the mascara I have tried on and I’ll stick to it for a long while.
